With the summer winding down, you might be in need of a new cozy place to bundle up for the colder months ahead. You’re in luck—because it’s a holiday weekend, it’s a good time to buy a new mattress. A lot of the base prices of our favorite mattresses have gone up in the past few months, but we still think these deals are solid.
All the prices listed are for queen-size mattresses.

Our Favorite Mattress Deals
The luxurious Helix still takes our top spot—it’s the only one that pretty much put our reviews director, Jeffrey Van Camp, to sleep in a loud, bright room. Its cushion top and medium firmness is good for side-, back-, and stomach-sleepers. Unfortunately, that luxury doesn’t come cheap, even when discounted.
Use code LDAY200 for $200 off $1,750 or more; LDAY150 if you’re spending $1,250 or more; or LDAY100 for $100 off $600 or more.
Use code LABORDAY2021 for 15 percent off. The Allswell Hybrid is shockingly good—not just good for being cheap, but genuinely so. It feels expensive, and its individually wrapped springs prevent motion transfer.
We also like the Allswell Luxe Hybrid for $574 ($101 off), which has three extra layers of foam and a plusher top cover, and the Supreme Hybrid for $837 ($148 off). The latter feels like a $2,000 mattress. We’ve seen all three discounted more, but we think they’re all still worth it.
More Mattress Deals (Coils + Foam)
Hybrid mattresses are supportive, with hundreds of individually wrapped springs sandwiched between layers of foam. Their coils help give them the best of both worlds, with the airflow and bounce of traditional box-spring mattresses and the comfort of memory foam.
The Leesa Hybrid is our runner-up, and though it’s not as luxe as the Helix, we think it’s one of the best out there. It has a silky, diamond-textured cover and a soft yet firm, pressure-relieving feel. It gently hugs your body, for a price.
This discount should auto-add to your cart, but use code LABORDAY25 if it doesn’t. We’ve seen this one for 30 percent off, but it’s still a good deal if you want a firmer mattress. (Van Camp said he would opt for medium next time over the firmest option.)
Use code LDAY400 at checkout. This price is the same sale we typically see, but the base price has risen some. Birch is an eco-friendly mattress made by Helix, the company behind our favorite mattress. It’s made of natural latex and wool, and free of polyurethane-based foams and chemicals.
Casper is well-known, and its hybrid mattress is great. It’s comfier than the brand’s all-foam one; the coils give it more spring, airflow, and support. We think there are better options out there, but if you aren’t sure what to get, get this. It rarely disappoints.
This luxury mattress is an honorable mention. It has a thick pillow top that’s very comfortable, similar to the Helix Midnight Luxe and Allswell Supreme.
All-Foam Mattress Deals
Most bed-in-a-box mattresses are made of several layers of memory foam, in a variety of densities and consistencies. They tend to offer better body contouring, but can feel too sink-ey or unsupportive if they aren’t designed well.
We prefer hybrid mattresses, but the following all-foam versions are all good options.
